CHP reported that there was one casualty in the accident while another was rushed to the hospital with major injuries.</p> <p>According to reports, the van carrying a family of five was stopped in the <a href="http://www.dot.ca.gov/trafficops/tm/hov.html">HOV lane</a> where they were rear-ended by a vehicle. the vehicle behind them was also hit from behind.
